Laboratorio Cosmopolita, founded in January 2020 by Dr. Zanella, is a research and formulation laboratory where creativity and science merge with curiosity and passion for everything related to the world of cosmetics. We develop products in various sectors: makeup, skincare, haircare, toiletries, and oral care, from raw material selection to industrialization.
We work based on client briefs or develop our own formulation proposals, developing custom formulations from scratch. We conduct in-house stability and compatibility testing, including industrialization and prototype production, to support our clients in their market launch.
Our team of cosmetologists and formulators offers technical assistance and supervision to companies and brands, both from a formulation and technical-marketing perspective, for the creation and development of new concepts.
We organize technical, hands-on, and theoretical training sessions. These days are designed and tailored to each client's specific needs.
Constant technical development, thanks to participation in various industry trade shows, allows us to offer a market analysis service, including technical and marketing insights.
We offer support services to companies in the fields of communication, social media posting, and event and trade show organization for the cosmetics industry.
Contract companies, raw material suppliers, brands and start-ups wishing to develop their own cosmetic project and formulators who want to expand their knowledge in the technical-formulation field.
I graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Milan, and then specialized in Cosmetology attending the Master at the University of Pavia. During 6 years of working in cosmetic companies as a formulator technician, I was able to interact with various companies and learnt the dynamics of this sector.
I am curious and I am a dreamer, also I like to travel and discover new cultures. My motto is “If you can imagine it, you can make it”.
With a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Milan,
I immediately exercised my passion for cosmetics, gaining two years of experience in large cosmetic companies.
I love challenges and I am still amazed every time in my hands the raw materials are transformed into a cosmetic formula.
I graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Milan and continued with a specialization course in Cosmetic Sciences. These studies allowed me to enter the cosmetics sector, where I apply my skills in the formulation of innovative products and in compliance with quality and safety protocols. I am looking for new challenges to contribute to the evolution of the sector, creating effective, safe and innovative products.
I graduated in Biotechnology at the University of Varese and continued my studies in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Milan. I carried out my thesis at Laboratorio Cosmopolita where I was able to apply and study how biotechnology is intertwined with cosmetics in different fields, from skincare to make-up. I would like to contribute to the development of new formulas while keeping the focus on the intertwining of the world of biotechnology applied to cosmetics.
I hold a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Milan. During my thesis project at Laboratorio Cosmopolita, I developed a deeper understanding of the cosmetics industry and the raw materials that bring cosmetic formulations to life. Since then, my passion for cosmetics has continued to grow, driving me to explore the industry with curiosity and an open mind. Today, I combine my scientific background with creativity and a love of colour, embracing new ideas and perspectives.
Nearly ten years ago, I discovered the beauty industry, sparking a curiosity and passion that continue to shape my professional journey. With a degree in Communication, I have explored the cosmetics industry from different perspectives, gaining first-hand experience across the value chain, from contract manufacturers and raw material suppliers to brands. This journey has shaped my understanding of the industry, its market dynamics, and the many elements behind every product. Today, I combine this experience with my passion for communication, embracing new ideas, exploring fresh perspectives, and approaching every challenge with curiosity and a desire to grow.
